Jon-Rodriguez-sensei-concord-ca-martial-artsJon Rodriguez Shihan is the Certified Chief Instructor and founder of Contra Costa Budokan. He is a full time teacher and continuing student of the martial arts. He is a certified instructor with experience teaching adults, juniors and children around the world. He is a graduate of an intense martial art apprentice training program (uchideshi) with the founder of Seibukan Jujutsu.  He was a main instructor at Honbu dojo Seibukan Jujutsu headquarters.  Rodriguez Shihan holds ranks in several martial arts; Rokudan (6th Degree Black Belt) in Seibukan Jujutsu, Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Enshin Itto-ryu Battojutsu (Samurai Sword Art), Yondan (4th Degree Black Belt) in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu (Ninjutsu) and 1st Kyu in Aikikai Aikido. Rodriguez Shihan works to create balance through practical applications and philosophy of bujutsu and budo. His interest is to share his knowledge to guide and lead others down their path of unification of mind, body and spirit.

 

Jason Smith Martial Arts Instructor Concord CAJason Smith is an certified instructor and uchideshi student at Contra Costa Budokan. Sensei Jason began his martial arts as an uchideshi (inside student) in Iwama ryu Aikido.  He continued his training as a Seibukan Jujutsu warrior.  He has dedicated his spirit to learning and teaching martial arts and continues his path at Contra Costa Budokan. He currently holds the rank of Yondan (4th degree black belt) in Seibukan jujutsu, 2nd kyu in Iwama Ryu Aikido, and first sash in wing chun kung fu. His training includes Enshin Itto-ryu Battojutsu (Samurai Sword Art) and Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu – Ninjutsu.  Sensei Jason is currently experiencing and discovering new ways sharing his spirit and knowledge of Seibukan Jujutsu.
